Yup, we’ll be open from 9am onward! Start by turning north at 19th Street (the stadium is at 19th and University so you can’t miss it) and look for us on the right.
First come, first served in all lots!
Usually Gator Parking goes into “hibernation” for a few months from December to March, but I’ve already started getting calls about parking and tailgating for 2012. I then realized this website hasn’t been updated since the end of last season! Normally those that already park and tailgate with me know that I send out renewal letters prior to the Orange and Blue Spring Game, and then I notify the waitlist of any spaces that become available and begin taking reservations from the general public after the O&B Game.
So if you call and it goes straight to voicemail, not to worry, I am generally around and I do get the message. I’ll return your call promptly.
Season passes are sold out, however in Lot 1 and Lot 4 there are a few spaces that will be available on a first come, first served basis each game day Saturday for Furman and FSU.
We open at 9am and you can swing by and pay for your spot early (subject to availability) if you aren’t quite ready to park.

Far and away the biggest hassle with tailgating seems to be figuring out how to power your setup. Many people bring noisy generators that have to be gassed up, or hook up inverters to their car battery and then spend all day nervously making sure the car will have enough juice to start after the game. There must be a better way! Well, there is.
Starting this fall, I will start offering dedicated electrical power to some of my tailgating spaces in lot 4. A dedicated, exterior GFI protected, 20amp circuit runs underground to a double outlet, which is then split between your the spot next to you and you (you use one outlet, they use the other). That gives you 10amps of power for your tailgate — plenty enough to power lighting, television, fans, even a blender if you’re mixing up cocktails for your guests. You just bring the extension cord and power strip, and use your imagination!

I’ve just opened up Lot 5, which will be reserveable for the season this fall. In the past I sold it on a game-by-game basis and noticed that many of the same people parked there every game. Unfortunately, what often happened is that many people would find the lot the first game, come back the second game and think “this is great!” and then the third game the lot would be full by the time they got there and they’d have to go elsewhere. By reserving a space for the whole season, you can forget about hunting for parking.
This lot is perfect for people who tend to come close to kick-off and get frustrated when there is no parking near the stadium. It’s also ideal for groups who tend to want to park near their buddies and go to the game and/or leave the game together.
Since Lot 5 is a few blocks further away than the other lots and does not have the same tailgating amenities as the other lots (no bathrooms, the lot won’t be open until a few hours before kickoff, etc) I’m setting the price to be the lowest of any of the lots.

Who would have thought South Carolina would have been the must-win team to beat to make it to the SEC? And what a beautiful day to tailgate it was, despite the unfortunate outcome. The more I tailgate before games, the more I feel tailgating is the meat and potatoes of game day, and the game itself is just the dessert.

The times for the last two Gator home football games have been announced. South Carolina will be playing at 7:15pm at Florida Field on November 13th, and App. State will be at 12:30pm the following weekend (November 20th).
